We specialise in the following areas:
School based Occupational Therapy
We currently provide occupational therapy services for a large number of early years settings such as nursery's and pre-schools, primary and secondary schools and further education settings.
Our Services:
- Sensory Processing assessment and provision of sensory integration therapy and sensory diets.
- Handwriting assessments.
- Assessment and recommendation for specialist equipment and adaptations to improve independence i.e specialist seating, small aids to promote independence during food technology.
- Assessment of fine and gross motor skills.
- Perceptual assessments.
- Functional skill assessments such as dressing for PE or independence during lunch.
Occupational Therapy Assessment for Aids and Adaptations
We are able to offer a comprehensive assessment of the child's equipment and access needs at home and within their education setting. We believe firmly in listening to the child's and families needs and use a holistic approach when prescribing equipment and adaptations for use within the home environment. We work with the leading suppliers of equipment for children with disabilities to deliver a comprehensive assessment and subsequent recommendation.
We offer assessment and recommendation for:
- Specialist seating for use at home and at school to promote engagement in functional tasks.
- Moving and handling equipment such as specialist hoists and slings to minimise risk of injury to the child and their carers.
- Equipment to promote independence or ease care during self-care activities such as specialist toileting, bathing or showering equipment.
- Small aids to promote independence with activities of daily living around the home and school environment.
Medico Legal Services
For Case Managers and Solicitors
We currently work with a number of Case Management companies. We are able to offer occupational therapy assessment and treatment for children with complex neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy and acquired brain injury. Our focus is to promote the child's or young person's level of independence with functional skills and to ease care.
Types of services offered:
- Developmental assessment and treatment to promote the development of motor, sensory and perceptual skills.
- Specialist seating assessment and recommendation.
- Recommendations for aids and adaptations around the home to promote independence and ease care.
We accept direct referrals from solicitors and are able to offer the following:
- Occupational Therapy needs reports for Special Educational Needs and Disability Tribunals.
- Occupational Therapy provision pre and post settlement.
